Wins for Community Contribution, Employer of Choice and Software Innovation

13 October 2020 – TechnologyOne has been recognised as a leader in the 2020 Australian Business Awards, winning in three categories: Community Contribution, Employer of Choice and Software Innovation. This year marks the fifth consecutive year the company has been similarly recognised.

Now in their 15th year, the Australian Business Awards are a well-known annual program designed to recognise organisations that demonstrate best practice in business innovation, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, experience management, business sustainability, product and technology innovation.

“We’re honoured to be considered one of Australia’s leading tech companies. We succeed when our customers succeed, but we also appreciate recognition from independent industry experts like the ABA. The areas in which we’ve been recognised are hallmarks of our company,” said Ed Chung, TechnologyOne’s chief executive officer.

Australian Business Award for Community Contribution

This award recognises organisations that undertake exceptional work through their charitable initiatives. ABA acknowledged the work of the TechnologyOne Foundation, which has grown immensely since its establishment in 2016, and has set an ambitious goal of lifting 500,000 children out of poverty, recognising that it’s through our youth, we can change the future.

“We take our obligations to the community seriously and that’s why we established the TechnologyOne Foundation. Last year we made our largest ever financial contributions to our 30 Foundation partners, and team members contributed almost 500 days of volunteer time,” Mr Chung said.

Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice

Recognising organisations that maximise the full potential of their people, this is the fifth consecutive year that TechnologyOne has been awarded winner in this category. The win recognises and celebrates TechnologyOne’s extensive and inclusive culture and people initiatives, such as the Marvel Awards and Hack Days, where everyone collaborates across teams and regions to transform ideas into solutions for its business.

“We are committed to providing an environment and culture where our talented people can be innovative, creative and realise their full potential. Our people are our competitive advantage, so we invest in initiatives that support the recruitment, retention and development of the best and brightest.” Mr Chung added.

Australian Business Award for Software Innovation

Acknowledging software products and services that provide innovative solutions for new and existing market needs, TechnologyOne received this award for its global SaaS ERP solution, based on its features, performance and end-user experience.

“Fostering innovation is a top priority for TechnologyOne. We are committed to a continuous cycle of redeveloping its software platform from the ground up, leaving no line of code untouched. Over 30 years, we have completely redeveloped our software platform four times,” Mr Chung said.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the ABA judges for this recognition and, most importantly, each and every one of our 1,100 team members without whom this award would not be possible. It’s been a challenging year for our communities and this award is welcome recognition of our people’s efforts and resilience,” Mr Chung added.
