Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service has 27 fire stations
located across the two counties. The Fire and Rescue Service has more
than 800 full time operational staff, retained firefighters and
officers, fire control staff, and support staff. It also hosts one of 29
national Urban Search and Rescue specialist units. In 2004, following
government legislation that called for a review of public sector
organisations' financial systems, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue
Authority realised that its current financial practices were supported
by very limited and inadequate systems. The Authority needed a financial
solution that was easy to use for both its finance team and its
managers, who are mainly operational fire officers and support staff
across the counties. The Authority went to tender and after evaluating
five suppliers, shortlisted two before finally selecting TechnologyOne
Financials and Business Intelligence software.
"We evaluated the risk of a company with no track record in the UK
against the functionality and benefits that the systems could offer, as
well as the value for money within our budget. TechnologyOne came out
strongly on top." Martin Reohorn, Director of Finance and Deputy Treasurer.

"We’ve now got some great products, and if we were to do it all again
I’m sure that we would make the same decision to go with
TechnologyOne.” Robert Carlesso, Executive Manager Finance and Customer Service.
Community Alliance Credit Union
(CACU) has approximately 32,000 members, more than $450 million in assets,
operates 26 ATMs and 9 branches between Nowra and Campbelltown, and employs
approximately 100 people.
"Managers are now owning their budgets and taking pride in beating the
targets. Customised dashboards dynamically present budget versus actual data so
managers can see the impact of their decisions in real time, which empowers
them to respond to the changing market with more timely decisions.” Greg Parrish, Executive Manager Corporate Services.
Aptly described as ‘country living with city benefits’, the city of
Queanbeyan is only 10kms from Parliament House in the National
Capital, Canberra. With a population of over 37,500, Queanbeyan is part
of a vibrant region, which includes Canberra and the southern
tablelands.
“The driver for us was the new
integrated planning legislation; it was really requiring integrated
solutions to make things run smoothly." Mark Johnson, Finance
Manager.
